Systemic thinking in training, coaching and consulting
Orientation in the systemic question space

In consulting contexts - i.e. in their everyday practice - coaches, trainers and consultants encounter complex systems, communications and structures that need to be developed. They experience different behaviour patterns and situations - and often try at an early stage to grasp the emergence of emerging phenomena and possibly derive suitable steps for change. However, as the coach, trainer or consultant finds himself in an initially confusing situation, orientation in the complex fields - factual levels as well as relationship levels - is difficult and his effectiveness may be limited. Experiencing simultaneous manifestations in the inner and outer worlds of one's own and the observed system presents the consultant with the challenge of opening up resources for himself that enable him to orient himself and make him helpful and competent as a process facilitator.

But how exactly can this be guaranteed? Consulting etc. makes it its task to support autopoietic systems, which are difficult to control from the outside, with changes. So how can a concept be developed that supports the choice of effective interventions and makes sustainable changes possible?

The seminar offers you the opportunity to get to know methods that can support you in your daily practice to keep track, to observe clearly, to select tools, to plan interventions and to accompany your clients solution-oriented.

Olaf Walter has been working for more than ten years on linking systemic concepts and their practical implementation in the respective fields of activity. He is interested in the concrete application in the contexts of social systems and in sustainable solutions. He is author, managing director of a consulting firm and works as an interim manager, management and organizational consultant, trainer and coach.
